Flight Disruptions

Silver Airways is aware that government mandates have resulted in restrictions on air travel due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Unfortunately, many of the restrictions will result in flight cancellations. We sincerely regret any inconvenience created by the travel disruptions.

Florida Flights

On March 24, the Florida government issued an Executive Order for all customers who depart from New York, New Jersey or Connecticut to self-quarantine for 14 days after arriving into Florida.

Key West (EYW):

  • Until further notice, all arriving passengers regardless of origination will be screened at Key West International and Marathon Florida Keys International airports. Each person screened shall isolate or quarantine at that person’s own expense for a period of 14 days or the duration of that person's stay in the County, whichever is shorter. Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS):

  • All flights to Destin/Fort Walton Beach have been suspended.


Bar Harbor Flights

Maine's Government announced on June 9 that beginning July 1, out-of-state visitors will not have to comply with the quarantine if they have tested negative for COVID-19 within 72 hours of arriving in Maine.

Bahamas Flights

Please see the current information Silver has available regarding traveling to The Bahamas. We will keep you updated as we receive new information:

  • The Government of The Bahamas established Policies and Procedures that all visitors must follow – including the presentation of a COVID-19 RT-PCR Negative (Swab) Test (nothing else will be accepted); the test must be taken no more than (10) days prior to the date of travel.   • All travelers to The Bahamas will be required to complete and submit an electronic application prior to their trip. The application is  available here . Failing to upload a negative COVID 19 RT-PCR Test will result in an automatic denial of entry. For further information please visit

Caribbean Flights

Anguilla (AXA):

  • The international airport remains closed until further notice.

Antigua (ANU):

Culebra (CPX) and Vieques (VQS):

Dominica (DOM):

  • All flights suspended. Airport is closed until May 31, 2020 pending government approval.

San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU):

  • The Government of Puerto Rico has announced that the island will reopen for in-bound tourism on July 15, at which point, travelers with a negative molecular COVID-19 test will be welcomed to the island.

Santiago, Dominican Republic (STI):

  • All flights suspended and airports are closed until June 1, 2020 pending government approval.

St. Croix (STX) and St. Thomas (STT) – USVI:

  • Passengers: Please be prepared for brief verbal screening or temperature check as applicable at the exit area as part of a newly enhanced health screening measure at STT and STX. Any passenger who meets initial screening criteria will be subject to a secondary screening process.
  • Airport operating a limited Flight Schedule – please check
  • Seaplane operating a limited Flight Schedule- please check
  • St. Croix airport (STX) will begin closing daily at 4 pm.
  • St. Thomas airport (STT) is closing daily at 4 pm.

St. Kitts (SKB):

  • Airport is closed until June 14, 2020 and will reopen pending government approval.

St. Maarten (SXM):

  • The country will receive travelers from North America starting July 1.
  • Entry requirements for visitors arriving at SXM include testing prior to travel, wearing facial covering, and health screening procedures, among others.

Tortola, BVI (EIS):

  • Airport resumed operations on June 2. A new protocol is in effect to travel to the island which requires mandatory registration thru an online portal. Read all details here .
